Wii Party release date confirmed, includes Wii Remote

Those retailer listings we rambled on about last month turned out to be correct - Nintendo Australia has announced an October 7th release for Wii Party. That's just a few days after America, and one day before Europe!

The spiritual successor to Mario Party features 80 mini-games, 13 different modes and comes bundled with a white Wii Remote. However, you'll also be able to buy the game by itself. The standalone version is priced at $79.95, while the Wii Remote bundle is $99.95.

It'll be a multi-billion seller by the end of the year. I'll take eight.

TechSpecs – HP Compaq Presario CQ42-136TU notebook PC

One of the cheapest full-function notebooks we’ve seen, HP’s Compaq Presario CQ42-136TU is powered by a 1.9GHz Intel Celeron T3100 processor with 2GB of RAM and 32-bit Windows 7 Home Premium. Given the notebook retails in Australia for only $599 (and usually quite a bit under that), it’s not bad value, especially when you add in 802.11n Wi-Fi, 250GB hard drive and DVD burner.

Battery life isn’t bad at over 2hrs35mins and you even get SD card reader and HDMI output. It’s the first time we’ve seen a 14-inch notebook chassis at this price and from our testing, it doesn’t a pretty decent job. Did we mention it’s only $599? This one shows you don’t have to pay a fortune to get a decent notebook. In fact, why would you bother with a netbook at these sorts of prices.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 gets the Colorware treatment, sees value increase infinitely

So look -- RIM's BlackBerry Torch 9800 isn't exactly the barnburner-of-a-smartphone that we were hoping it'd be, but at least it looks snazzy, right? Right? Regardless of your answer to that, it's a bona fide fact that Colorware has outdone itself on this one. Usually, it's most fun to toy around with the company's endless array of hues in order to create the most hideous version of your favorite gadget before pretending to hit the order button, but for whatever reason, the first handset to ship with BlackBerry OS 6 actually looks dapper in red and white. Or maybe that's just the Wolfpack in us talking. Either way, it's available to customize now in the source link for $250 (send your own) or $1,050 (buy new sans a contract). Video's after the break, should you need one.

New StealthArmor COLOR Series Keeps Your iPod Touch Scratch-Free

If you’re afraid of getting scratches on your iPod Touch, iPhone or iPad the guys at Fusion of Ideas have exactly what you need: their new StealthArmor COLOR line that’s protective casing in either red, blue, violet, green, pink, purple, yellow and orange.

If the variety isn’t enough, there’s also limited edition “beachy-shades” available dreamed up by an 18-year-old Fusion Of Ideas employee.

What makes StealthArmor a cut above the rest was its previous application on race cars as coating to keep the vehicles unscratched by grit and dirt. Another plus is the adhesive technology of StealthArmor that attaches smoothly without ugly wrinkles and lumps after you use a heat source like a hair dryer to apply it. Even better, it’s easy to remove and leaves no stains on the surface it previously covered.

Best suited for those who want to stand out and further accessorize their iPod Touch, go to Fusion Of Ideas’ website for purchases. There’s a $6 shipping fee but for the StealthArmor look, it’s totally worth it.
