Way back at Computex, a little orange tablet brazenly called the Tycoon seared our retinas and won our hearts. Now it's going on to charm early adopting tableteers everywhere. Well, everywhere in Taiwan, anyway, with maker FIC indicating it will sell its first tablet on Saturday, priced at NT$19,800. That equates to roughly $660 American, for which you'll get a 10.1-inch model with Windows 7 installed on a 120GB HDD, powered by an Atom N455 processor with 2GB of memory. The OS is said to have been adjusted to make it more finger friendly, though we don't have any details on exactly how, nor do we know when this little guy might be making an appearance outside of Taiwan. We just hope they kept the tangerine sheen.

Armenian-language version of Windows 7 to appear soon
“The previous version has a 90% error correction level, but the new version has an even higher percentage. We paid rather careful attention to the spellchecker,” Barseghyan said.
He pointed out that terms will simplified in the new version. The developers considered the advice both by users and by specialists.
Barseghyan also reported that an Armenian-language version of Microsoft Office 2010 will be ready during the first three months of next year.

The 11.6″ ExoPC Windows 7 Tablet With A Twist Up For Pre-order
The ExoPC slate has been a tablet of much fascination for some and for those people who are interested in owning the 11.6″ Windows 7 tablet pre-orders are being taken now. The tablet is being released in Canada so if you are in Europe you’ll have to plan accordingly for shipping the tablet.
Although this good new about pre-orders does come with a little bit of bad news. The 64GB model will no longer come with GPS functionality built-in and the battery is said to only last through on average 4 hours of use. Other than the GPS and battery life news ExoPC is also excited to announce the tablet will come with “new SSD from Sandisk, really fast”. The SSD used is the SanDisk P4 mini-SSD, the drive provides up to 160MB/s write speeds and 220MB/s read speeds.
The tablets pricing goes like this, the 32GB tablet costs CAD $649 (about $624 USD) and the 64GB version CAD $749 (about $720 USD). The tablet is set to start shipping October 15, 2010. [Via]
