9800 Blackberry Torch And Canada’s Release Date Delay

The Blackberry Torch 9800 release date in Canada has been pushed back from September 24 to September 30 or October 1,depending on your carrier. The Torch 9800 is Blackberry’s attempt to appeal to a more tech savvy consumer base, who has been lured by snazzy Android and iPhone handsets.

The Torch 9800 has a slideout keyboard and full touch screen experience. IT’s like a touch screen phone with training wheels that allows the user to keep the physical QWERTY keyboard they love, while having the larger screen touchscreen experience.

Many venture to say that the phone feels heavy, but I think it feels sturdy. I checked it out at my local AT&T store, and it seemed to be the high quality phone we have come to know and love from Blackberry/RIM.

The company reports seeing a slight uptick in subscribers since launch. To combat the iPhone and the Android phones, RIM is going to introduce an update to the Storm and unveil a tablet computer soon. A tablet computer from RIM would be a suitable iPad competitor, as it would appeal to businesses that already have integration with Blackberry’s technology.

Many are looking forward to the Blackberry Torch 9800 release date in Canada, and are disappointed that their phone won’t be in tomorrow. However, it’s only another week and it will be here before you know it.
