Spice View D- India’s First 3D Phone Launched at Rs 4,299


One of India’s handset makers, Spice mobile on Sunday launched the country’s first 3D display mobile phone. Known as View D, the phone has been priced at Rs 4,299. The handset will allow users to view photos and videos in 3D without the 3D glasses.

Spice mobility aims to sell around 20,000-30,000 handsets (View D) per month of. The Indian mobile handset market is seeing stiff competition and the handset makers are looking at innovations to drive their sales.

The low-end handset market in India is particularly getting crowded as more and more players have joined the race and they offer a number of useful features at competitive prices. According to the latest data by IDC, 38.63 million mobile handsets were sold in India during the period, April-June 2010.
