Nokia E5 launched in India


Finally, Nokia has come out with its new smartphone E5 in India. The new smartphone is priced at Rs. 12,699. This new smartphone proudly sports the Symbian S60 third edition mobile operating system and specifications similar to the Nokia E72. These are in addition to the other features of Nokia E-series phone. E5 presents a great blend of business level features with that of entertainment capabilities that in turn makes it a perfect choice in this price range. You can also get a Samsung Galaxy 3 with Andriod Operating system within the same price range.

Nokia E5 sports a look that is very much similar to Nokia E63. But this smartphone draws majority its specifications from E72. This is packed in a monoblock form and it offers 2.36-inch TFT display that supports 320×240 pixel resolution screen. This handset consists of five-way Navi key that is surrounded by soft keys and it features a full QWERTY keyboard. The Nokia E5 handset supports quad-band GSM and it also features Wi-Fi that is 802.11 b/g with DLNA support. There is 600MHz ARM 11 architecture based processor with 256MB RAM and 250MB internal storage under the hood of this phone. Nokia is planning to bundle a 2GB microSD card with the handset.

It is a great tool for business lever users as it supports corporate email through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler. This smartphone also provides GPS facilities along with offering Assisted-GPS support Ovi Maps. The NokiaE5 comes with Symbian OS v 9.3 Series 60 release 3.2 operating system in its heart. This is a boon for music fans as this phone offers stereo FM radio with RDS and it also has 3.5mm audio port that allows the user to use any standard earphones with it.
