The iPod Nano music device has come under a warning in Japan after it was found that some of the older models may overheat.The Japanese government has asked Apple Inc to post prominent notices on its website warning that there have already been cases of batteries overheating in first-generation iPod Nano machines.
Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry reported that models sold in 2005 and 2006 had been warped by heat which had caused minor burns when people touched them.
The ministry also said no serious injuries or damage had been reported.
A notice for a battery replacement was posted late last year on Apple Japan's website but the Japanese government complained consumers were finding it difficult to access the information.
