Nokia India has launched its 2-in-1 dual SIM phones in India, the Nokia C1 (C1-00) and Nokia C2 (C2-00). The company said the two new devices in the Nokia Cseries family are available at very attractive and affordable price points and will address the consumer need for a Nokia phone boasting multiple SIM functionality.
The Nokia C1 and Nokia C2 will enable users to take advantage of a rounded feature set including multiple phone book options, long battery life, large screen and local language interface.
Mary McDowell, Executive Vice President, Mobile Phones, Nokia, said, "As per our deep consumer insights, entry-level consumers need dual SIMs for various reasons including economizing time and costs, improving efficiency and for increased convenience. To address these consumer requirements, Nokia has launched these two devices that offer multiple SIM capabilities with a balanced feature set and ‘relevant innovations’ at affordable price points."
The Nokia C1 will be available at an MRP of Rs. 1,999/- and will be the first Nokia mobile phone to feature a 2-in-1 SIM solution. Nokia said the Nokia C1 owners will greatly benefit from the ‘call divert’ feature in the new phone, which will ensure that they never miss a call from either of the two SIMs. Moreover, by simply holding down a key, people will be able to switch between the two SIM cards in the phone.
Nokia C1 owners will also benefit from a standby battery time of up to six weeks, the longest ever for a Nokia mobile phone, especially useful in those parts of the country where access to electricity is sometimes limited. The standard flashlight is paired with a vivid color screen and FM radio with standard headphone jack.
The Nokia C2 comes with Nokia’s innovative services including Ovi Life Tools and Ovi Mail. Nokia’s Ovi Life Tools provides consumers a wide range of information covering healthcare, agriculture, education and entertainment, whereas Ovi Mail offers email accounts for the developing world. The Nokia C2 also makes listening to music simple with the FM radio and music player and a massive amount of music storage with the phone supporting micro-SD cards of up to 32 GB.
