In case you aren’t familiar with the Metroid franchise, you can watch a 7-minute retrospective of the Metroid storyline, as told by heroine Samus Aran. This new Metroid: Other M trailer details what happened in the original Metroid for NES, the Game Boy’s Metroid II: Return of Samus, and the SNES’s Super Metroid. It concludes with CG-footage of the final Super Metroid battle with Mother Brain and a cinematic showing the Chozo Suit-donning heroine receiving an urgent distress signal. There’s no gameplay footage here, but it’s a quick way to learn about the series or remember the events of the previous titles.
